Yesterday Kristen installed another LBL in the yummiest location so far. A bakery! Main Street Pastries owner, Diana Batista, has her own non-profit called the Hope Bread Project, where she gives baked goods to families who cannot afford them. We heard about her generosity and thought, wouldn't the children in these families also not have access to books? So Diana is hosting a Little Book Locker, between the window and the cupcakes. That's a lot of hope in one little bakery.
The books are actually right next to the gluten free case, which is perfect, because books are also gluten free. (haha we're hilarious over here at LBL)
Thank you to Main Street Pastries in Northborough, MA for hosting this Little Book Locker!
This is such a creative and thoughtful way of redistributing free books to young readers! Is LBL limited to MA locations or are there plans to expand beyond state lines?
